«Έφυγε» στην Αμερική ο καθηγητής Πωλ Παναγιωτάτος – Η ταφή στο Αργοστόλι

Paul Panayotatos, died on April 4, 2013. He was an internationally respected researcher and professor of electrical and computer engineering at Rutgers University for 30 years. Panayotatos was also the chair of the Rutgers University Senate for 2012–2013.

Panayotatos received his undergraduate degree in physics from the University of Patras in Greece, and his master’s and doctoral degrees in electrical engineering from Columbia University. Following his graduation, he served in the Greek Navy and then briefly worked at Columbia University as an assistant professor before finding a home at Rutgers in 1982.

The funeral service took place in Athens on April 16, and the burial took place on April 17 in Argostoli on the Greek island of Kefalonia, where his family is from. A memorial service at Rutgers will be scheduled at a later date. A condolences guestbook is available online:
