You can still register and join us today, Saturday, December 11, with Marinos Pourgouris, Professor of Literary Theory and Modern Greek Studies, University of Cyprus, who will deliver the Mouyiaris Memorial Lecture on the occasion of the 200th Anniversary of the 1821 War of Greek Independence.
This lecture will take place online (via Zoom) at 1:00 p.m. The topic is “The Reception of the Greek Revolution of 1821 in Cypriot Literature during the British Colonial Period.”
Prof. Pourgouris is an engaging speaker who brings characters to life in his lectures, as he examines interesting literary themes.
